Board Service at Villa Therese
Help Shape the Future of Care at Villa Therese
Join the Villa Therese Catholic Clinic Board and help expand access to free, compassionate healthcare for uninsured and underinsured individuals and families across Santa Fe and northern New Mexico.
We are recruiting a small number of committed leaders to help guide the Clinic as demand grows and services expand.

Why Serve on the Villa Therese Board?
Board members help shape the future of a trusted community resource that has served Santa Fe for decades.
Who We're looking for?
We welcome leaders from diverse backgrounds who share a commitment to community health and equitable access to care.
Board service does not require personal adherence to the Catholic faith. We simply ask directors to support and respect VTCC’s mission and values in their governance role.
Typically board service involves approximately 4–8 hours per month, including monthly board meetings and committee participation.
As a board member, you will:
-
Support community wellbeing by helping guide an essential healthcare provider serving more than 1,500 patient visits each year.
-
Help expand access to care by strengthening partnerships with clinics, hospitals, nonprofits, and community groups.
-
Contribute to long-term sustainability through fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic planning.
-
Build visibility and connections as an ambassador for the Clinic throughout the community.
-
Share your expertise in areas that matter for Villa Therese's growth, operations, and impact.
Demand for care continues to increase, and thoughtful board leadership ensures we can meet it.
Board Role Focus Areas
To support our growth, we are focused on four complementary leadership areas.
Clinical & Healthcare
Bring a clinical or healthcare-informed perspective to board discussions. Help support patient-centered, high-quality care and contribute insight on services, provider engagement, and the realities of care delivery.
Philanthropy & Development
Bring your perspective and strategic instincts to help foster a culture of philanthropy. Your leadership will play a key role in ensuring the clinic’s long-term sustainability through thoughtful community engagement and resource development.
Community & Civic
Bring your community presence and unique perspective to help us deepen local roots. Your leadership will help the clinic foster meaningful partnerships across civic, faith, and nonprofit networks, ensuring we remain a trusted and visible resource.
Health Systems
Bring your strategic perspective on healthcare systems, public health, and access barriers. Your insight will help the clinic navigate evolving trends and identify key opportunities to strengthen the care we provide to the community.
